Rehearsals and Christmas
Yesterday the Munchkin had rehearsal for his Orff concert later this month. I had to drive him over an hour away for a half day of music and movement. Here he is playing bells for one of the songs:
While he was rehearsing I had five hours to waste. As I was close to the Mall of Georgia, I decided that was as good a way as any to spend all that time. I believe the Saturday after Hallowe’en has now become “Black Friday”. Holy crap!!!! Yesterday was the first day of November. November. First. Geez! There was Christmas music playing in the stores. The Christmas tree was already up, the Santa picture station was built, and stationed with elves. Later that day, after I left (whew!) they were going to have the “lighting of the Christmas tree” with high school bands, a parade, and Santa pulling up the rear.
I’m going to be so sick of Christmas by the it actually gets here. It keeps coming earlier and earlier. Ugh.
