Writing to Boot Camp
I just sent the first letter off to Hubby at boot camp. So far I have received a letter from his commanding officer with a 2 line note from him, a phone call for 4 minutes to request a copy of my ID and his divorce decree from his ex-wife, and a one page letter telling me how much they yell, how bad his feet and ankles are (from running and marching in brand new boots), and how the food isn’t all that bad. They keep busy, are in bed by 8 and up around 5, so he doesn’t have time to think or miss us. Thank the gods.
My letters to him (3 of them) told about the mopey dogs, the sick kid, the sick wifey (ugh), the SLOW Hallowe’en night, work, Da’s birthday, and various other mundane things. When I spoke to him, he told me to write. A lot, please. But I don’t want to bore him, or make him miss us more. Argh. There’s only so much I can tell him how proud I am, to keep his head down and do what he’s told, I miss him, etc. before he gets aggravated with me. So I need to tell him… STUFF. That means paying attention to things going on around here he would be interested in. I guess, paying attention to football would be nice. Is NASCAR still racing right now? What other things are going on? A local store closed we were recently talking about.
Gah.
Hmmm.
Any thoughts you have on what to write about, I’m all ears. Let me know!!!!

Hello fellow NaBloMoPo participant! Found you through Twitter. I always try to write about things that interest me or if all else fails … what I am eating. Lol.
Tell him whats going on in the world, they get zero news of current events and such.
